PSU Performing Arts Center Informational Session 2

Wednesday, April 24, 2024 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM

The City of Portland asked PSU to offer an alternative proposal to renovating the seismically compromised Keller Auditorium. The PSU plan is now a finalist in a city-run process. A decision is expected in July 2024. Please join us for a happy hour presentation to learn more about this exciting proposal — and to help PSU advocate for its selection.

Portland State’s plan seeks to create a multi-purpose arts complex like New York’s Lincoln Center on a 4.25-acre campus site. The proposal includes two state-of-the-art performance venues, an outdoor plaza, a boutique hotel, conference center, restaurants and bars, studios and rehearsal spaces, classrooms and community spaces. It's the only plan that maintains Portland's premier arts venue downtown, avoids disruption and financial loss for arts organizations, leverages connections to PSU’s arts and culture ecosystem, and catalyzes major development in the central city.

Please join us at University Place Hotel to hear from experts working directly on this proposal. The Portland City Council needs to hear from constituents why they think this plan can do the most for Portland and for our diverse arts communities.
